Thank you to everyone who attended our 10th Anniversary Gala at the Then, Now, Imagine Fundraiser. Because of so many of our generous donors, dozens of teens in our community will continue to have a safe and positive environment to challenge their creativity, build relationships and become a leader. Thank you for all the ways YOU make a difference!
The evening festivities included, a silent auction, raffle, wine pull, an original WCAP video of past students, and stories from guest speakers.
Honorees: WCAP honored three volunteers for their time, effort and continuous commitment to the WCAP mission. Michelle Kobriger, current WCAP Board President; John Remmers, member of the Board of Directors since it’s inception in 2007; and Lori Flood, a board member since the founding of WCAP.
“It was a privilege to see WCAP blossom from a dream of Page’s, for middle school children of Waukesha, to reality. It has been wonderful to be part of something that has helped so many!”
– Lori Flood
Guest Speaker: Thank you to our guest speaker and former WCAP student, Dylan Baxter. He spoke about how “WCAP teaches and inspires collaboration.” Dylan credits WCAP with opening his mind to the arts and showing him that art could be more than just a hobby but something he could grow with and have a career in.
We were delighted to have former WCAP student, Jayden Ellsworth, in attendance at the gala. Jayden authored and illustrated a book titled “Chocolate”. It is a story of acceptance and individuality. We are honored that Jayden dedicated her book to WCAP, “where she learned to be comfortable in her own skin.”
